Pray as you can

There is no ‘right way’ to pray, only a right attitude, disposition and intention.

Prayer is relational, it is how we communicate with God. Each relationship in life is sustained and grows in intimacy through love and disciplined commitment.

The way we live our lives is a prayer – an expression of what we believe in, and cherish. We pray through the intentions and actions of each day. We pray also through our emotions. Some of our prayer is communal, some private, some formal and informal, some active, some contemplative.

In private prayer, there are those who are drawn to meditation, contemplation, prayer in nature, prayer through scripture and others.

How do you pray? Is there a particular Christian spirituality – e.g. Ignatian, Franciscan - that you feel drawn to? Can it be a guide to you in your journey?

There are no easy answers to life’s questions, prayer is an on-going relationship with God which can be challenging and deeply intimate, deeply rewarding, freeing and loving.
