DISCOVER - 'Living the Faith' Series
What is DISCOVER?
- A weekly gathering of young people who have a common interest in exploring their faith and how it relates to everyday life.
- It is based on the spiritual exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola which focuses on rummaging for God in the everyday situations of life and making time to reflect on these situations in the light of faith.
- Groups of 6-8 young people (average age 25) meet for 1.5 hours once a week to understand and enhance their own personal sense of faith and spirituality.
- Participants draw on their own experiences of the past week to achieve a greater sense of understanding and integration of the spiritual in the day to day reality of their lives.
- An introduction to Meditative / imaginative prayer with scripture as opposed to study of scripture.
- A tiered programme that matches you with a group according to your comfort level, and need.
