WHAT WE LOOK FOR?

Young Adults with an open and flexible attitude. Who are willing to support basis creative approaches to sports, art, and music and basis computers; key to this is an attitude of service and a team player.

HOW TO APPLY
Engage in the 6-step process:

1. Fill out application form

2. Attend interview

3. Attend all orientation /preparation/debriefing

4.  Fundraise

5.  Travel to country

6. Continued involvement (Optional)

STEP 1: FILL OUT APPLICATION FORM

STEP 2: ATTEND INTERVIEW

All applicants who complete an application form and have returned before closing date will be offered an interview.  These interviews usually take place November/ December

STEP 3:  ORIENTATION (COMPLUSORY)
If you are successful in obtaining a place you are obliged to attend ALL Pre-Departure Orientation Days, which are held in Magis Ireland office in Dublin.

Dates: 2012
*January 13th – 15th W/end, Esker, Atherny, Co Galway
*April     dtbc
*Sunday 27th May - Orientation and Missioning Mass for all volunteers (3pm – 8.30pm)
*Saturday 15th September   - Debriefing and reunion, Magis Ireland Office, Dublin.

STEP 4: FUNDRAISING
By starting early, planning ahead and looking for opportunities, raising funds is not as difficult as you might first think–and all the while you will be developing skills that will stand to you, both while working overseas, and in the future. We offer support by providing ideas and by putting you in touch with former volunteers. Fundraising letters will be provided and receipts issued if required. 

• Amount: €750 a large percentage of this is allocated to the building project and a small percentage towards Magis Ireland’s cost incurred in setting up and running the programme.

STEP 5:  TRAVEL
Volunteers meet in Dublin airport usually 2 hours before departure and so the journey continues.....


STEP 6: CONTINUED INVOLVEMENT (Optional)
We would love for you to continue your involvement by engaging in various programmes and event throughout the year such as:

• Leadership roles

• Retreats

• Web site

• Open events

• Peer Ministry

and lots more....
