For Christians, spirituality means how we relate to God, and give expression to that relationship in the everyday of our lives. Genuine spirituality draws us out of our limited selves (and a life at which I am the centre), and into ‘other centred’ living.

To know yourself, is to know God. The Spirit of God is in each one of us. Every one has a unique way in which they relate to and communicate with God.

Ignatian Spirituality

This refers to the spirituality of St. Ignatius, founder of the Jesuit Order. From soldier to founder of the Jesuit Order,  Ignatius experienced sometimes dramatic, sometimes mundane times in his path towards God. He journaled the experiences of his own personal journey, together with his experiences of helping others in theirs. These writings gathered together in ‘The Spiritual Exercises’ have had enormous influence on people over the centuries who seek greater intimacy with God in the day to day reality of their lives.
